Two of the Elizabeth Wang Gallery’s most prominent artists, Chen Chi (1912 - 2005) and Zhiyuan Cong (b.1955), were featured artists at the Butler Museum of American Art in Ohio.

The Butler Institute is the oldest museum of American art in the United States. The original structure, dedicated in 1919, is a McKim, Mead and White architectural masterpiece listed in the National Register of Historic places. The Butler is known worldwide as "America's Museum."

This exhibition was a good indicator of the growing importance and recognition of contemporary Chinese art in America and around the world.
